Views from 85th floor of Taipei 101

 I moved from the quarantine hotel to my college classmate’s rental apartment this morning, then made two doctor appointments, before a quick lunch with my old colleague in the Trade Bureau who also hosted me in Myanmar in 2019. We caught up the updates of our colleagues of the same class, before I ran back to the hospital for the last eye test. 

I then ordered a new pair of reading glasses based on the prescription I got in the morning, and a spare pair of long-term contact lenses. There was an interior design and furniture trade show in the Taipei Trade Center. However, nothing interested me so I went down and camped in the basement restaurant floor of Taipei 101, a landmark skyscraper offering shops, eateries & an observation platform on the 89th floor.

In the evening, I met my old boss, his wife, and some old friends met in Boston at 台北101捌伍添第餐廳/85F which has great views of the whole Taipei area and delicious food, such as 花雕蒸星斑柳Steamed Star Garoupa Fillet with Chinese Hua Diao Wine, crispy pork belly 澳門燒腩仔, barbecued suckling pig 化皮烤乳豬, Braised Australian Sea Cucumber with Mullet Roe 烏魚子燒關東遼參, braised South African abalone 椒麻南非凍鮮鮑, Sautéed Japanese Omi Kuroge Wagyu Beef Cubes A5 with Black Pepper and Garlic 蒜香A5近江黑毛和牛粒, Minced Chicken and Egg Whtie Soup 雞蓉魚肚羹, 芭樂柚子薈Gauva, Pomelo and Aloe Soup, mango sago cream 楊枝甘露，etc. one of the kind cuisine. The sunset and night views were amazing.
