I am monitoring China’s alleged military exercises to block transportation for 3 days after Pelosi’s visit, which should end before my flight arrives in Taipei. Plus my 2-month travel fatigue and ho weather in Naples, I was not motivated to do much today.
I took the Naples old town free walking tour to get more history and culture about the city and sites including Dante square, Alba gate, Greek walls, Tribunali street, Pulcinella statue, Church of the souls, Purgatorio Street, Spaccanapoli street, “Corpo di Napoli" statue,
Gesù Nuovo church, Santa Chiara church, Gesù Nuovo square, etc. with insides I didn’t know when I walked by myself. The old town of Naples, UNESCO heritage site since 1995.
I took a lunch break in the hostel, and then headed out again at 4 pm. I walked 2.5 miles to the Villa Floridiana in Vomero area to enjoyed its big park and a breathtaking viewpoint of the sea and the Chiaia area. Then I walked 1.5 miles down to the shore to walk on the boulevard of Lungomare Carracciolo that stretches all the way along the coast of Naples. After that, I walked 3.5 miles back to hostel. Since my 34-hr 3-leg flights into Taipei plus 4-day quarantine in the hotel will not provide space for walking, I’d better do more beforehand.
