My college classmate treated me an 1-hr face care session at a shiseido資生堂 store, then we had lunch at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant 迴轉壽司 with her family.
I then met up with a backpacker traveler at the Taipei World Trade Center for trade shows: Taipei Food and Souvenirs International Expo, International Beauty and Nail Beauty Development and Korea Beauty Expo, Taipei International Fine Wine Expo, Taipei International Tourism Expo, and Taiwan International Travel Expo台北食品暨伴手禮國際博覽會, 國際美容美甲美髮展暨韓國美容展，台北國際精緻酒展、台北國際觀光博覽會and 台灣國際旅遊展. I tasted many unique flavor liquor, such as butterfly pea flower 蝶豆花, rose gin, pomelo 柚子， jasmine 苿莉花，pineapple, garlic, etc. I also tasted many kinds of packaged food for gifts, and then walked out the trade center tipsy.
We had dinner at Mayur Indian Kitchen 馬友友印度廚房 to chat with another traveler joining us later. We ordered Tandoori chicken set, spinach curry, garlic naans, yougart, etc.
Many people have been to Taiwan have enjoyed a strong human touch on Taiwan人情味. People are friendly to offer their help and patiently answer questions, even go out of their way for helping strangers. For example, when I asked where to find such a night market, the Taiwanese people will not only tell you how to get there, but also what to see and buy there. As another example, when I stepped in an eye glasses store to ask for a second opinion for my new pair of glasses made by another store but felt off, they took the time to double checked the accuracy of the glasses specification and went ahead to adjust the noose support positions to make the glasses fit me better, without charging me anything. Come and enjoy the Taiwanese human touch!
