Copenhagen, Denmark layover

I used UA frequent flyer miles to enjoy a 16-hr layover in Copenhagen, and walked 5-hr in the downtown area, including Rådhuspladsen, Christiansborg Palace, Amalienborg Square, Marble Church, etc. I even walked 2.5 miles one-way to Frederiksberg Garden where had a live concert.

Then I walked back to downtown, and picnicked at Nyhavn Harbour with food bought from a supermarket, before coming back to the airport (metro ride 20-min cost 4€ one way).

Rather than using the expensive and far airport lockers (in parking areas), I rented a locker with one of the two downtown hostels I contacted (4€ for 6 hrs).

I am exhausted and camped in a terminal coffee shop with soft chairs to sleep. Among the capitals of Northern European countries, I like Copenhagen best, vibrant, safe, and a lot to see.
