I managed to find the local buses out side of the airport to ride to Reykjavík downtown, and then toured Reykjavík with my new friend and hostelmate Daniel from UK. How cold to stay in a hostel beneath the Grand Masque of Iceland!
We checked out the nearby free thermal pool, a few landmarks, and the most economic supermarket Bonus. It was such a sunny and cool day! I need to catch some sleep before meeting my group for 8-day driving around Iceland in a rental car.
