I met my travel mates to pick up rental car then to their hostel to load all luggages for our 7-day around the whole Iceland car tour (after a stop at a supermarket for perishables).
We visited the Thingvellir National Park, the Strokkur Geysir, and Gullfoss fall, I.e. the golden circle, and then The Seljalandsfoss fall (60-metre waterfall. walk behind the waterfall and experience the full force) and the Skógafoss fall (60-metre waterfall
steps that lead up to the top of the gorge, but we were too tired to get up), before checking in the Puffin Hostel. Thingvellir National Park, an area of geological significance. Located as part of a fissure zone that runs through the country, it is situated on the tectonic plate boundaries.
Gullfoss delivers its full force over two stages: an 11-metre drop striking enough, and a larger 21-metre fall where the powerful water shows off the most.
