We drove a long way (over gravel roads) to Borgarfjörður Eystr, home to a large puffin colony: The Hafnarhólmi puffin colony located on the small islet of Hafnarhólmi behind a fishing harbor. Along the walkway to the puffin viewing area, we saw puffins within a couple of meters as well as ones in the air and sea.
We also visited Dettifoss Waterfall, the Largest waterfall by volume in Europe, and some Geothermal area in Myvatn.
Last, we got in Myvatn nature bath (hot spring) that has stronger sulfur (greater benefits for the skin and respiratory issues such as asthma), before checking in the hostel. I cooked dinner paired with red wine.
