After the free breakfast at beach front guesthouse, we drove to Snaefellsnes Peninsula located on the western coast of Iceland. We climbed up the Gerðuberg Cliffs (a wall of basalt columns), walked along the
Ytri Tunga Seal Beach and saw one big lazy gray seal, photoed around the Búðakirkja Black Church, hiked up the Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge (an imposing craggy mountain blanketed in fuzzy green moss), walked around the Londrangar Basalt Cliffs (two stacks creating the appearance of a majestic coastal fortress), etc.
I liked the Freer Hostel we stay which is made from a fish factory with cool decos.
