We drove 1-hr to hike to Reykjadalur hot springs thermal river. The 3-mile hike starts from the parking lot to first cross a bridge over a river and a hike on a gravel trail up the Rjúpnabrekkur Ptarmigan slopes, leading to Reykjadalur hot steam valley with plenty of photo stops. We then returned the rental car and tour Reykjavík downtown (including the harbor area, concert hall, flea market selling whale meat, horse sausages, seagull eggs, etc.), before dinner then camping in the airport for 6 am early flight into Norway.
